This is a business facing role and not a technical role. As a valued member of the FP&A Organization, this person will primarily focus on the business side of our Hyperion Implementation. This is a full-time consulting opportunity located at our main office in Emeryville, California. This is expected to be a long-term consulting role with a requirement to be working onsite. • Create, coordinate, monitor and maintain Hyperion applications, Essbase Cubes, Essbase Studio, and other related automated processes in order to refresh the data and structures in Hyperion systems for analysis and reporting needs. • Work closely with LeapFrog Finance Teams to understand and evaluate their requirements, and implement these requirements into Hyperion. • Gather and document user requirements in a clear and organized manner. • Quickly synthesize business and technical needs and subsequently deploy solutions, primarily using Rapid Application Development Techniques. • Design and deliver periodic business change management. • Design and deliver reporting solutions, primarily using Hyperion Reports. • Propose and implement workable solutions at lightning speed • Maintain a high customer satisfaction rate with internal customers • Solve problems creatively and work collaboratively Requirements • B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science or equivalent experience • 8+ years as a Hyperion Essbase/Planning business analyst in a high-tech company, using System 9/11. • Demonstrated ability to transfer users from an Excel based system planning system to using Hyperion Planning. • Ability to multi-task in an incredibly fast-moving environment to support multiple deliverables for an international user community. • Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of business, accounting and financial planning processes • Demonstrated experience with SOX compliance preferred • Strong customer interaction, organizational and time-management skills • Skilled at working with people at all levels and driving change within the organization • Easy going with a strong attention to detail • Thrive in a dynamic environment with ever changing/expanding responsibilities • Familiarity with Linux environments and using EPMA. • Experience with Oracle Financials (GL, AR, AP) and ETL tools required.
