From Project Feasibility to Closure, the QA Lead will manage and facilitate quality deliverables within strict deadlines and scope while ensuring timely and proper communication occurs. The QA Lead, while a part of the Quality Assurance team, will strategically align with the Corporate Systems Delivery team to support the Talent Management project. The QA Lead will be required to seamlessly partner with the IT PMO Project Manager aligned to the Corporate Systems delivery team to coordinate efforts and ensure all quality deliverables are managed and communicated timely. The QA Lead must demonstrate a strong understanding of the Systems/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and a high regard for Operating Model. The QA Lead is accountable for managing the preparation and coordination of quality assurance deliverables including but not limited to test planning, executing, and communications. The QA Lead role is one that requires team leadership, business acumen, professional bearing, systems knowledge, and strong relationship management skills with users and third party service providers. * Preparation of test plans and test scripts. * Maintain, execute and report on regression testing scenarios. * Coordinate with internal and external teams on testing activities and schedules * Plan testing efforts, reviews project deliverables, develops and coordinates test cases and associated test scripts * Develops and enforces quality standards * Reviews and evaluates project deliverables to ensure they conform to quality standards * Provides quality assurance expertise in all development pieces of a project from initiation through implementation * Ensure adherence to QA guidelines, schedule and report. Conduct QA audits * Architect, implement and maintain the automation tool set and test framework. * Contribute to maintaining the integrity of the Quality and Test environments * Ensure high quality and accuracy is maintained through to software release. * Preparation and maintenance of test plans for use on automated testing tools. * Preparation of a test plans and test scripts to test each software component and demonstrate the business condition under test and the expected results. * Log defects and provide accurate reporting of the current state of testing and the open problems identified. * Provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements. * Provide estimates and feedback to the Software Development Manager for project scheduling purposes. Top 3-5 must have skills: • 7 - 10 years’ experience testing, implementing and supporting large scale multi-platform information systems • 5 - 7 years’ experience managing quality for large scale projects involving various technologies and project teams • Experience developing complex project test plans to meet business objectives • Expert in HP Quality Center including but not limited to the following processes o Test Case Management/Development o Defect Management o Change Control o Requirements Analysis • SQL experience, used to validate data. • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills • Strong understanding of Talent Management practices, system components, and industry standards. • Experience with Talent Management Systems in a retail environment. Specific components or module examples for some of the larger Talent Management Systems are: o On-Boarding o Recruitment Management o Succession Management o Performance Management * Goals/ Performance * 360 Reviews o Talent Analytics – Profiles o Career Development Planning o Training/Learning • Direct experience to support Project: Talent Management Wave III which is the implementation of the SuccessFactors (software-as-a-service) modules Succession Planning and Career Development Planning (CDP). o Specifically this project will require extremely quick, high volume, test script development to support an iterative vendor project methodology. Scripts are to be elicited from JAD like sessions with the vendor, written, reviewed, approved and placed into HP Quality Center for execution. o Specifically this project will require an additional set of test scripts for both Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) which may require detailed screen shots and step by step action lists.
