Software Engineer - Autonomous Vehicles ROLE SUMMARY: The Electronics Research Laboratory represents the client's Group in applied research and development. Our mission is to develop innovations and technologies for future generations of cars, and to transfer technologies from many industries into the automotive domain. We are developing technical solutions that assist the driver in safe, convenient and fuel efficient driving, and permit an intelligent interaction with information. We take an innovative, hands-on, and prototyping approach to our project work where out-of-the-box thinking is encouraged. We invite you to create technologies that shape the automotive industry and lead research and development activities related to energy efficient electronics and vehicle architectures. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: • Software Development activities for autonomous functions • Research and development activities to improve autonomous vehicles for various purposes. • Secure intellectual property and develop roadmaps for automotive use • Initiate and implement partnerships with external partners (companies, research institutions, universities) • Transfer technologies and solutions to the client's Group development divisions • Represent the client's Group in technical community, such as at conferences GENERAL SKILLS REQUIRED: • Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic • Computer savvy – Programming skills in C, C++, other languages • Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written • Integration – joining people, processes or systems • Influencing and negotiation skills • Problem solving • Resource management SPECIALIZED SKILLS REQUIRED: • Strong programming skills in different OS (Linux, Windows, Mac OS X, Android, iOS, etc.) • Background in computer vision, image processing, robotics or related areas • Experience in sensor data fusion • Take initiative to launch projects with the ability to quickly learn and develop own ideas in an interdisciplinary environment SPECIALIZED SKILLS DESIRED: • Proven project management experience in interdisciplinary and inter-organizational teams, from conception to completion • Familiarity with automotive electronics and driver assistance systems • Background or strong interest in automotive Engineering • Understanding of data buses and data communication protocols (CAN, Flexray, RS232, etc.) REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years REQUIRED EDUCATION: •Master of Science in computer science, Electrical Engineering or similar field Please contact recruiter at 248 675 1200 ext. 277.
