Our client in Stamford, CT is currently seeking a Desktop Engineer for a consult-to-hire role. The Desktop Engineer should have experience in a corporate environment, with significant experience with desktop deployment tools such as HP CAE, Altiris, or SCCM. Required Skills and Education: * Minimum of three years of experience working with desktop imaging and application deployment software (preferably HP client automation, SMS, SCCM. Altris or novadyn) * Must have experience with Active Directory and Group Policy maintenance and excellent knowledge of workstation operating systems. * Creating, developing and managing software deployments/OS deployments on the Microsoft Platform * Custom desktop application release management and change control * Desktop, laptop and tablet images * Testing and integrating service packs, operating systems, business objects desktop toolset, and custom desktop applications * Software patches, Fixes and Enhancements (i.e. Microsoft, Adobe, Java, Business Objects, Bluebeam, Checkpoint) * HP Client Automation Enterprise * Lenovo and HP management software (Access Connections etc) * PowerShell scripts and Login scripts * Sophos Antivirus, Application Control, Disk Encryption * Desktop Security and UAC * Must have detailed documentation ability and excellent communication and organization skills. **PLEASE, NO THIRD PARTIES.
