This position is part of Remedy Production Engineering Group. The goal of the Remedy Production Engineering group is to ensure reliability and availability of the Remedy ITSM suite of products (CMDB, Asset, Incident and Problem Management, Service Request Management, Service Level Management, Change Management, and RKM) in addition to other application and integrations (Demand, IT Portal, TelAlert, BEM, etc). Production Engineering assumes responsibility for service, monitoring and control of the production environments, management of implementation, and training of Operations. Systems Engineer Leads with strong technical expertise, exceptional leadership and communication skills are needed to consult on, plan, implement and support projects engineering associated with deploying new ITSM functionality and providing tool and infrastructure engineering for existing deployments. This role requires a strong balance of technical and business skills. Engineering an effective and supportable ITSM environment requires Business, Applications/Systems and Operations understanding in order to leverage the tools to drive business value. Core Responsibilities: - Provide leadership and direction for implementation of Remedy platform projects - accountable for the successful delivery, implementation and servicing of application, infrastructure and related processes to production. - Create operational turnover documentation and training for Operations as well as others on the Production Engineering Team for supported tools and infrastructures. - Perform Tier IV level support in resolving complex and critical issues for the complete Service Management tool suite and related interfaces to/from the Remedy system including event management. - Proactively monitor and report on the health of the system infrastructures - Partner with other Engineering organizations to review tool & process road maps, life cycles and licensing. - Keep tool infrastructures current (versions, patches, platforms, maintenance), supportable and stable - Recommendations for tool and infrastructure technology upgrades, support, remediation, training, maintenance, end of life. - Identifies process improvement opportunities - Works within the Service Management Tools Production Engineering team in providing consistent and quality services We will call qualified candidates after review. Overtime: straight time - Strong knowledge and experience designing, implementing and supporting large Remedy ITSM implementations and associated systems integrations. - Experience with BMC Atrium CMDB, Remedy ITSM Suite (ie Service Desk, Knowledge Mgmt., Change Mgmt., Asset Mgmt., SLM, SRM, etc.), databases (SQL, SQL Query and DBA practices) and data transformational tools (SSIS, AIE, etc) - Coding or Scripting experience - strong verbal, written and presentation skills
