Appliance Field Service Technician
Adecco Engineering & Technical has a 2-7 month contract opportunity for a Field Service Technician who will be responsible for conducting a product upgrade on a harness assembly in several models of dishwashers. ***PLEASE READ EVERYTHING IN THIS POSTING, ESPECIALLY THE “YOU MUST” SECTION AND THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOW TO APPLY WHICH ARE AT THE BOTTOM*** Pay: $15-19/hr (pay is set based on city) Specifically: You will be responsible for completing a specified service repair on dishwashers within consumer homes. The expectation is that you would be able to complete 6-8 calls in a given day. You will be supplied with: a company vehicle, parts to perform the repair, appropriate safety equipment and necessary tools/parts required to complete the repair. You will be expected to begin the day by utilizing a supplied company truck as transportation and a city map to travel to specified consumers’ homes on work orders you’ll receive each morning. You will be required to greet the consumer in a friendly, professional manner, explain what they are there to do and perform the repair. First step on each service call will be to effectively turn power source off to the dishwasher. You will then need to determine the appropriate part kits for the dishwasher model in the consumer’s home. Some specifics of the repair required written below. Each day you will be required to complete invoice documentation through mail/fax for completed calls. You will also need to orderly manage parts inventory shipped routinely to replenish your truck stock. You will be expected to utilize safe driving practices while driving the company truck and understand and practice all safety protocols. Employee Attributes/requirements: Neat personal appearance Excellent verbal and listening skills Ability to use hand tools, ie. Screw drivers, power tools, etc Familiar with Lock out Tag out electrical procedures Valid/active Driver’s License required High school diploma required…technical school preferred Ability to ascertain differences in color Mandatory Training for Hired Temporary Employees: Safety Compliance Training OSHA required disabling of power to the unit and locking the power source from inadvertently being powered up prior to servicing the dishwasher unit. Smith Defensive Driver Training Specific training on the dishwasher repairs).... then ride with a company technician to observe the repair being completed in the consumer’s home. YOU MUST: Be able to pass a background check Be able to pass a drug screen Have a clean driving record (not more than 2 moving violations in 2 yrs; no DUI/DWI in the last 5 yrs) Have the ability to use a screw driver Be willing to travel to a training location for 4 days if there is not one located in your city (travel/accommodation paid by client, not you) Be willing to work on Saturdays (bonus money for working consecutive days) Be able to follow the instructions below exactly as described to be considered Instructions on how to apply: If you are interested and have read, re-read the “YOU MUST” section and meet those requirements, email your resume to michael.torres@adeccona.com and in the subject line, please write “Field Service Technician” with which city you are in.
