Payroll Accountant - Financial Hr Department Benton Harbor, MI This West Michigan Company is seeking an individual to assist the Corporate Center Human Resources (CC HR) finance group specifically in the areas of invoice processing, payroll activities and within the global mobility space. The global mobility space includes both domestic relocation as well as global assignments in which individuals are working either outside or inside of the U.S. for a temporary amount of time, generally ranging from 6 months to 3 years. This position will be responsible for ensuring all invoices for CC HR are entered properly into the system, as well as all documentation is provided to ensure proper processing by the accounts payable department. Within the payroll space, the position will be responsible to open payroll-related mail and ensure it is routed to the appropriate parties, as well as will be responsible for processing payroll garnishment checks on a bi-weekly payroll run basis. Within the global mobility space, this position will be responsible to help track global assignment activity and assist with other project-related tasks. This position requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, knowledge of internal corporations accounting system, a sense of urgency and exhibition of excellent oral and written communications, to ensure the appropriate communications take place ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently. Brief Overview: The Corporate Center Human Resources Accountant will process invoices, open mail related to internal payroll activities and distribute to appropriate parties, process bi-weekly payroll garnishment checks, as well as assist with assignment tracking and other global mobility project tasks. Qualifications: Work cross-functionally with the accounts payable departments as well as the CC HR cost center owners Work with outside vendors within the payroll and global mobility spaces Analyze data and resolve questions/issues noted within the invoice processing space Work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment Top Three Skills MUST have 1. 2-4 year accounting degree or actively pursuing degree 2. Strong Microsoft Excel skills 3. Knowledge of SAP or similar internal corporation's account software What you need to succeed in this position: 2-4 year accounting degree preferred or actively pursuing degree 1-5 years or more experience working in a corporations accounting environment Strong Microsoft Excel skills Knowledge of SAP is preferred, but knowledge of similar internal corporations accounting software is beneficial and required Ability to work general business hours - between 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday Ability to follow procedural guidelines to respond to and/or research invoicing issues Detail oriented and exemplify a sense of urgency Positive attitude and strong work ethic Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and organizational skills Analytical and Issue resolution skills a plus Basic phone, computer literacy and proficiency in a Windows operating environment
