Job Title: Manufacturing Technician Location: Pitstone Green Client My client is at the forefront of the Aerospace market worldwide developing and surpassing industry standards and technologies. Due to continues commercial growth and success they are currently seeking Manufacturing Technicians with varying skill sets to work in the manufacturing site in Pitstone, Buckingham. Position Description A technician is required for shift work at Pitstone - Assembly & Sub Assembly of Power Generation Units and Soldering in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidates must possess one or more of the following essential skills: * Basic soldering, wire terminals and printed circuit board * Brazing of main generator terminals * Balancing of Rotor assemblies and some minor surface grind / milling capability * Hand and Machine winding Other essential requirements include * Ability to read production drawings and related documentation * Can self-inspect products using bench Electrical equipment & Mechanical equipment * Awareness of Quality Management System ISO 9001 / AS9100 Desirable requirements * Experience of coil winding and rotor / stator assembly winding * Experience in any of the following processes: - Araldite / bonding - Varnish - Impregnation - Paint * Experience of generator test using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), checks will include electrical and hydraulic functions. * Must be able to work shifts if required. This is contract will run for a minimum of 12 months role, and for your efforts and services you will be rewarded with a competitive rate of pay and a stable workload in the current economic climate.
