Program Manager -- Supply Chain
Background Our health care client has dozens of medical centers and operations spanning California. There is tremendous opportunity for our client to benefit from economies of scale and standardization in the end-to-end supply chain. As a result, they have embarked on a multi-year supply chain transformation initiative designed to centralize the function with communications that cascade to key stakeholders. This in-flight program is organized into 4 tracks: 1) Centralization of the logistics function – vehicles, warehousing, etc.; 2) e-Enablement; 3) End-to-end supply management through to point of use; 4) Organizational redesign and centralization. With multiple tracks, a large team and critical deliverables, the VP of Supply Chain has turned to M Squared Consulting to provide Program Management leadership for this initiative. Approach The M Squared consultant will work with existing project plans to build a consolidated program plan incorporating the 4 program tracks. Specific activities may include: Building a program framework and work plan that creates efficiencies across the work streams Establishing and tracking program timelines, milestones and metrics Coordinating and unifying activities and communications across program tracks Leading and supporting the team to move the initiative forward – this may include planning and running meetings, keeping and distributing minutes and other leadership activities Proactively identifying, managing and resolving issues and risks Rigorously managing scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed-upon time, cost, and quality parameters Driving key milestones to completion Managing financial budgets/forecasts and reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures Providing appropriate reporting to senior management Deliverables Deliverables will vary according to need but are expected to include: · Communications plan for executive sponsors, stakeholders and work stream leads · Risk analysis & mitigation plan(s) · Program assessment and progress reviews · Roles & Responsibilities allocation · Status and Tracking documentation · Success Metrics (definition, measurement, reporting) Consultant Requirements · Strong program management toolset and experience in large scale transformation · Specific expertise and understanding of supply chain concepts is highly desired · Healthcare industry experience helpful · Mature and savvy at navigating in complex and highly-matrixed organizations with a wide variety of stakeholders · Adept at change management, issue management and consensus building Terms This engagement is expected to begin as soon as possible and to continue approximately 12-18 months. Project scope will be assessed at regular check points and interim deliverables will be produced throughout the engagement so that immediate benefits can be realized. Location Livermore, CA
