Job Description: The contractor requested will be responsible for the following: - Work in small teams with other SharePoint experts to deliver exceptional service to customers - Configuration of medium farms, large farms, geographically disperse farms, and other complex scenarios - Guidance on best practices for implementing SharePoint, including topics such as performance, availability, security, capacity planning and monitoring - Resolution of SharePoint administration requests - Resolution of SharePoint troubleshooting requests - Requests for a focused piece of short-term SharePoint consulting Qualifications: -Minimum of 4 years of professional IT experience providing customer or technical support. -Minimum of 4 years experience with IIS 7.0 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 or greater. -Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting SharePoint performance. -Minimum of 2 years experience using Microsoft SQL server as a backend database for SharePoint. -Candidate must have consulting experience -Experience with administering SharePoint hosted within a Virtual Server environment, SAN technologies (LUNs, virtual disk), -Familiar with networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, SMTP), firewall configuration, and monitoring tools, -Experience automating SharePoint administration tasks with Windows PowerShell -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Ability to work with a collaborative team of Information Architects, Business Analysts and Developers -Solid working knowledge of Active Directory architecture, server roles, and domain relationships -Customer focused and results oriented -Candidate must be willing to travel approximately 10% Skills/Experience: -FAST Search implementation and configuration -Performance Point experience -Reporting/Business Intelligence experience with SharePoint -Experience implementing Disaster Recovery in SharePoint -Virtualization knowledge (VMWare / Hyper-V) -Team Foundation Server -Demonstrated self-starter who can initiate and complete work with minimal direction -Atari or Commodore experience preferred.
