Our client, located in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Oracle DBA. Main Duties: Provide system engineering and analysis support the Oracle database for enterprise architecture including installation, integration, maintenance and Tier 3 support Evaluate the Oracle database architecture and provide recommended changes in processes, configuration, software, and hardware Configure and tune the High Availability (HA) features using Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) Participate in technical working groups to identify issues and develop solutions for the Oracle Database system Provide engineering support for the development and maintenance of engineering and related technical documentation Provide engineering, test and evaluation, and operational, post deployment, and life-cycle support of theEnterprise ITSM deployed in all theaters Perform and document technical engineering studies and coordinate and provide over-the-shoulder training Support the GTL in the implementation and maintenance of theEnterprise CMDB/SS standard design and configuration at the Data Centers and Data Center Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) site, Theater Network Operations and Security Centers (TNOSC), and installation Network Enterprise Centers (NEC) for integration of an Enterprise-wide standard, ITIL-based, ITSM/CMDB/SS capability Provide design and implementation support for migration to the Enterprise system Perform operational tasks, as tasked by the GTL, in UNIX, Windows, Oracle, SQL, ITSM/CMDB/SS, Asset, Change, Configuration, Release, Service Request Management, and Service Level Management product installation and integration with other enterprise management tools, including Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS), Tivoli, and Spectrum Network Management System Qualifications: Minimum of 6 - 12 years experience as a Senior System Engineer BS degree in Engineering, Math, or Computer Science is required IT level I in accordance with AR 25-2, Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) Meet position requirements of Table C10.T4, DoD 8570.01-M and shall be IASAE level II certified in CISSP Have six or more years of Oracle Database experience Be knowledgeable in the following Operating Systems supporting Oracle Database: Windows, Linux, and Solaris Have one or more of the following certifications: Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional, Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Master, Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Professional, or Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Master Additionally, have one or more of the following certifications: Oracle Certified Expert, Oracle Real Application Clusters 11g and Grid Infrastructure Administrator; or Oracle Database 10g Real Applications Clusters Administrator Certified Expert Have three or more of the following skills: System Analysis and Design; Physical Disk Storage; Data Security; Backup and Recovery; and Change Control Management
