Portfolio Planning Lead
The Portfolio Resource Planning Lead in San Francisco, California is responsible for managing and coordinating all resources necessary for the successful delivery and support of the Corporate IT portfolio of projects. This role is internal and external facing, collaborating on a daily basis with the delivery organization, IT resource and technical managers, project managers as well as external contracting agencies. Responsibilities: * Keep track of all Corporate IT resources, internal and external, allocated to work on projects and operating budgets * Maintain enterprise knowledge at all times of who is working on what projects and when assignments are ending and beginning * Manage a team of 3-5 Resource Analysts that support a Portfolio of $190 million with over 1000 resources * Identify resource needs and over-allocation; proactively resolve issues; providing solutions and escalating issues appropriately * Maintain global Corporate IT staff (up to 1000 resources) availability and coverage calendar * External Vendor/Contracting agency management contact; engaging with preferred contracting vendors regarding potential and existing resource needs * Help develop and maintain database of common Corporate IT resource needs and job descriptions * Facilitate meetings and communications with senior management and VP level * Partner with Portfolio Manager and business partners to understand the strategic direction of the business and the portfolio for effective resource planning * Define metrics for the resource plan and ensures that the metrics are produced and communicated on a timely basis * Initiate, track, and coordinate staff augmentation requests to satisfy gaps in the resource plan by coordinating with the Vendor Management Office. * Provide resource and vendor feedback to Vendor Management Office This role is expected to have a solid baseline understanding of IT portfolio resource planning and analysis. There is potential for this role to turn contract-to-hire. Specific Qualifications (required unless noted otherwise): * Highly proficient in Excel * Ability to manage and lead a team of 3-5 analysts * Minimum 4-8 years of IT experience * Minimum 3-7 years of previous planning and management experience preferred * Strong facilitation and communication skills
