Interim Construction Procurement Specialist
A large and reputable local government organisation based in North Wales currently requires an Interim Procurement Specialist with Construction experience for a period of at least 3 months, with the potential for extension. This is an urgent requirement and requires a start at short notice. Duties will include supporting the construction department (property, highways, materials & some other construction related services) with procurement activities. The successful candidate will be required to lead on the tender of several construction projects, in line with OJEU / EU tender regulations. You will also be required to attend meetings with internal and external colleagues and suppliers as well as working independently to manage simultaneous tenders. This role does not require staff management experience and will require you to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate MUST have a demonstrable track record of leading tenders within the Construction, Property and / or Highways areas and liaising with suppliers. Experience of OJEU / EU tender regulations and a public sector background are preferred for this role.
