Network Engineer - Admin Assistant
Position: LAN/WAN Support Engineer (State Govt. Project) Location: Brooklyn, NY Duration: 6-12+ Months Requirement Need Cisco Certified Engineers for on-site coverage. We will maintain on-site presence Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including City holidays. The client team and the customer will mutually agree on the primary assignments and shift times for each of the engineers. The on-site engineers will engage in the following tasks: Requires CCNP certification. Break-fix support for all customer LAN/WAN locations. Preventative maintenance and management tasks within mutually agreed-upon timeline and maintenance windows. Network device configuration and documentation of configuration changes. Data network configuration support and documentation of configuration changes. Updates to documentation, including "as-builts," firewall rules, and asset and configuration records. Submission of Change Management Requests (CMRs) and supporting documentation, as required, such as Method of Procedure (MOPs). Remote access and connectivity requests per customer policy. Support, Install, Move, Add, Change, Decommission (IMACD) via change management. Service provided by each on-site technician will be performed in the following descending order of priority: (a) emergency repairs; (b) emergency moves, adds or changes; (c) repairs; (d) moves, adds, changes, and disposal; (e) software updates; and (f) maintenance, including checklists. Engage Cisco on behalf of the City as required to provide support when needed to repair a faulty system component.
