Data Network Engineers - Contract - Peterborough I am recruiting for Data Network Engineers to work independently providing a solid technical solution whilst working in a constructive manner with internal and external customers. The ideal candidates will have excellent communication skills and able to work effectively with the end client. The job will require remote support of field engineers who are installing the hardware, technical configuration of layer 2 Alcatel switches Job Purpose To provide configuration designs and implementation for all managed data products including but not limited to IPVPN, DSL, Business Internet, Next Generation Ethernet products. Principle responsibilities To bring into service all Managed Data services. To liaise with Projects and Planning and provide Customer configurations and support to enable timely installation of service. To provide on site troubleshooting for Customer affecting early life failures. Key Experience CCNP Certified (or equivilant experience) Able to communicate at all levels. Customer focused at both technical and personal levels in order to effectively deliver the required technical solution. Flexibility with working schedules ensuring customer downtime is restricted to periods that limit business abilities. Ability to work closely with both technical and non technical areas of the Business. Ability to work within a team sharing knowledge and also absorbing information and continued technical growth throughout their daily working time.
