Our Atlanta-based client is a leader in the industry and is searching for a Billing Application Engineer, preferably with Kenan experience, to join their team for a long-term contract. In this role, you will provide second and third level support for applications, and maintain all related environments. You will also work losely with other internal support groups to resolve complex technical issues and provide excellent customer service in a fast paced work environment. Help refine migration procedures to ensure consistent migration process Working with managers / peers to escalate issues to and work with Developers, Systems Administrators, and Application Support to provide root cause analysis for systems issues Lead problem solving and troubleshooting for functional environments and related applications. Maintain proper configuration and deployment of code to all environments Install software/software patches, documenting procedures and coordinate resources Create and report on metrics to direct manager on a weekly basis Maintain run book library of all supported applications Process and support all billing operations for multiple organizations. This can include processes that must be performed on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule. Required: 3+ years of experience of Enterprise level application support (2nd-tier and 3rd-tier support) as well as developing, implementing, and maintaining version control and/or migration procedures 3+ years of experience with BMC Service Desk Express or another ticketing system Understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, and Collections processes Experience with Billing Systems and working knowledge of billing practices and procedures. Prefer experience woth Kenan FX billing practices and procedures as well is the Kenan FX data model General web development, including Java, J2EE, XML, DHTML, EJB, JSP, CSS, and JavaScript Demonstrated SQL, some level of data modeling and schema design experience with emphasis on query tuning Working knowledge of J2EE application servers, particularly with Apache, Web Logic, Websphere, etc. Good working knowledge of UNIX and LINUX platforms including UNIX shell scripting and Perl. Working knowledge with the following is a plus: Oracle, Actional, Gomez, Adlex, Dynatrace, CMS, Fiddler, Akamai Exposure to Sonic or other ESB tools for integration to internal systems Troubleshooting network issues, memory leaks, capacity issues, CPU utilization is a plus.
