Web 2.0 features such as bulletin boards, RSS Feeds, Twitter, blogs and wikis provide a rich medium for the stakeholders to interact with the department. The senior developer will follow industry standard PHP and Drupal coding practices and write efficient MySQL code that can be unit tested using frameworks such as HttpUnit and PhPUnit. The successful candidate will have experience working with various content types, the CCK and experience in or knowledge of writing custom Drupal modules. Best practices are employing including coding standards, configuration management and release engineering. The senior developer will keep up with the latest in technology such as Drupal 7, PhP5 & OOAD, OpenId among others, and will use this knowledge to propose compelling features that drive up user satisfaction or provide innovative solutions to old problems.
