The position will require working with various scripting languages on the Linux operating system in a virtualized cloud environment. The candidate must have experience writing and debugging automated software test scripts for backend API based systems. The ideal candidate has experience with Linux, Python, shell scripts (bash), Java, XML and SQL. Understanding of the Domain Name System (DNS) is preferred, particularly with the process in which an internet domain name is registered. • Responsibilities include: o Create and maintain the test case automation scripts for Registry products using scripting languages such as Python, Shell (bash), Java, XML and SQL among others. o Coordinate with project QA leads to plan and implement test automation plans targeted to improve test automation coverage for each assigned product. o Provide regular status updates to management on the progress using metrics related to automated testing. o Create and maintain frameworks for test automation for use across various products and platforms. • The individual will have background experience as follows: o 10 or more years of experience in a software development environment with a focus on Quality Assurance and software testing. o Strong background writing the code for developing test automation scripts using languages such as Python, Shell (bash), Java or similar languages. o Preferred candidate will possess an understanding of DNS systems and understand the Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP). o Experience with Quality Center, Subversion and Jira desirable. o B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering, Information Systems or Technology, or equivalent training and experience.
