This role is a full time, 5 day a week post and will require the successful applicant to support pupils on a 1-2-1 basis who are borderline between grades, supporting them in their attempts to secure the higher mark. You should have excellent English skills, an A in English at A-level and a 2:1 degree or higher in an English degree subject. As you will be required to work with pupils who require extra support to reach targeted attainment levels you should be confident in your own abilities and able to use your own initiative when required. The school’s last Ofsted report graded them as “Good” and praised the overall effectiveness of the school.
