Kforce is searching for FOUR (4) System Engineers for one of our clients in the Fox Valley area. The role of this position will be to design, engineer, develop, implement, launch, and maintain one or more systems and services among, but not limited to servers, thin clients, network services, application systems, databases, storage systems, and data archiving systems in support of the client's core technology infrastructure. The Engineer ensures stability and integrity of the core technology. This position executes work activity in accordance with the overall strategic plans developed by IT Architects. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve technology issues in a timely and accurate fashion. Highlights: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understanding of Linux OS, preferred: Red Hat Experience with industry-standard foundation technologies: BIND DNS, SMTP, DHCP, NTP, SNMP, LDAP, NFS, Samba, and Syslog Experience managing a large distributed datacenter computing environment Hours: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM Additional Hours: rotating on-call schedule We regret to inform that this client does not provide visa sponsorship.
