Quality Assurance Release Lead
As a Quality Assurance Release Lead, you will be responsible for defining and executing the Quality Assurance Release strategy for the Commercial Card Solutions suite of products. The incumbent will lead and manage all activities of a Quality Assurance (QA) test team for large Releases, including but not limited to, release planning, detailed QA work plans, test planning, execution, regression testing, functional testing, test metrics, test automation and status reporting. The position will be accountable for large projects of high complexity, high risk and high visibility. As a Quality Assurance Release Lead, you will utilize Six Sigma and CMM methodologies to support the delivery of quality products that meet client specifications with minimum defects, on-time, and on-budget. You will define and improve IT Technology processes towards recognized industry standards. You will bridge the gap between the current and desired quality levels by balancing short-term needs with long-term perspectives of success. Specific Duties: Develop and maintain quality assurance standards and processes and manage quality improvement activities Create common business specific quality measurement frameworks and track improvement against these metrics Plan and deploy software development and project management processes based on the Project Delivery Framework Develop overall application testing strategy Prioritize testing needs and develop cost estimates when applicable Ensure that quality assurance-related activities at both the program and at the project level are appropriately planned and executed Work with Application/Technical Architect and Business/Technical Analysts to ensure that the acceptable range for test results and performance gets communicated to the appropriate testing teams Ensure that technology problems are properly documented, and ensure that software defects are addressed Partner with development teams to ensure effective use of meth Quality Assurance Release Lead Qualifications: College degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience Minimum seven years of relevant IT/quality management work experience Ability to work independently on multiple projects Expert knowledge of application(s) under responsibility and underlying infrastructure Deep knowledge of Capability Maturity Model, Six Sigma, etc Experience in delivering end-to-end technology implementation solutions Deep understanding of software development process Solid understanding and experience of project management methodologies Expertise with testing tools and methods in order to perform user acceptance testing Experience and passion for building great teams, mentoring, and coaching staff Extensive experience with the definition and implementation of automated testing framework and process Experience planning, implementing and directing test strategies Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate with all management levels Strong ability to lead process enhancement activities for development, training, metrics and assurance Ability to produce quality metrics / reports to determine quality levels within a project to senior stakeholders Excellent communication and persuasion skills to be a strong advocate for quality Ability to multi-task effectively Experience with test estimation for large complex software application projects Experience with Testing tools - Quality Center, QTP, BPT Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to fine details Experience leading and working with global teams located onshore and offshore Candidate with CSQA, CSTE, or be qualified for certification will be a plus
