Kforce is looking for a Software Engineer to help design, develop, implement, and integrate information systems solutions including determination of hardware, software, and network environment to support the business operations; design, develop, enhance and support software for troubleshooting, automated diagnosis and testing of communication networks using C/C++, Solaris, ClearCase, CVS, Unix, and Oracle or DB2; design, develop and implement large multi-tier telecommunication software applications using VoIP, Private IP and TDM technologies. This is a 5 month contract in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Main Duties: Work on customer initiated testing, solve production issues and complete new coding tasks Work across IT teams with users for requirements and testing of FiOS, DSL, and VoIP products and services Work on configuration management for projects Develop and maintain CLR web applications Develop schedules to ensure timely completion of project and identify the appropriate resources needed Make recommendations that aid in the successful completion of initiatives within a functional area Software Engineer Qualifications: Bachelors or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering or Computer Science followed by 5 years of progressive experience designing, developing, enhancing and supporting software using C/C++, Solaris, ClearCase, CVS, Unix, LINUX, and Oracle or DB2. Experience in porting software to LINUX environment. Extensive experience in LINUX / UNIX environments Experience to include therein designing, developing and implementing multi-tier telecommunication software applications using VoIP, Private IP and TDM technologies.
