B2B Web Project Manager
Covestic is looking for an experienced Project Manager that has lead web-based software enhancements and upgrades to applications used in a Business-to-Business (B2B) Sales environment. The role involves managing one or more project throughout the full software development and delivery lifecycle (from Requirements through Deployment). Project resources are matrixed in from other teams so it's the PM's responsibility to pull the team together and construct a plan that is agreed upon by all groups. Having prior experience working in a Wireless Telecommunications environment is preferred, but not required for the role so long as you have experience delivering web business applications. Responsibilities: Establishing project scope, goals, timelines and constraints Developing a resourced plan to achieve the goals within the constraints Establishing and providing guidelines for development and delivery of training Coaching and mentoring project teams on project delivery techniques Accepting accountability for the project success Developing detailed project plan, schedule and resource assignments Tracking and reporting overall project status to executives Resolving and escalating project impacting issues Managing business and stakeholder expectations Facilitating discussions and issue resolutions between the client, the business teams, and IT project team Introducing and enforcing project standards Managing the project budget and project resources Qualifications: 7+ years of Project Management Experience Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and motivation during successful projects Strong, end-to-end understanding and experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Experience with waterfall and iterative software development methodologies Demonstrated knowledge of project planning, tracking and reporting Ability to work with business clients and stakeholders to define and clarify project scope and objectives Ability to assess changes to existing projects based on new business requirements Experience setting priorities for technical professionals Strong understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) Methodology or extensive experience with another project management methodology Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and delegate tasks as needed History of successful project planning, analysis, metrics, risk / cost / change management skills Proficient with MS Office Tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to present to groups and executives Strong interpersonal skills Desired qualifications: Wireless/Telecom IT project delivery experience PMP See Job Description
