BRC Social Housing are seeking a full time Communications Officer for this temporary contract based in Swindon. The main function of the post is to deepen and enrich housing`s relationship with customers, employees and partners through first class communications so that housing is truly connected to, and working alongside people. The main duties will be: - Manage, develop and deliver excellent communications channels for multiple audiences that make it easy to share information and content in multiple formats and encourage interaction - support people in Housing and in communities in order to build capacity and skills in relation to new and emerging communications tools and techniques - To implement the digital communications strategy and associated policies of the Council to enable Housing to be at the forefront of using digital media to engage with residents, staff and partners - To generate creative and accessible content that can be shared through multiple communications channels following the principles of Plain English ensuring it is aligned with and supports the Council`s strategy and key messages whilst promoting interaction You must have: - Significant communications and engagement experience with a knowledge of traditional and emerging channels and techniques. - Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to distil, translate and communicate complex information accurately.
