Thornbury Community Services are looking for experienced Healthcare Assistants to join a ‘train the carer’ package for a young child who requires BiPAP ventilation via a tracheostomy in Amersham, Buckinghamshire. In return you will be rewarded with our outstanding pay rates, up to £18.25 per hour when competent within the package, travel allowance, 24 hour support from a Registered Nurse, ongoing training & development and access to a Stakeholder pension. Our healthcare assistants will need to work in partnership with the client, parents and significant carers, at all times, and undertake technical and invasive care procedures (e.g. care of tracheostomy, ventilator and gastrostomy) delegated by and under the supervision of a registered nurse following specific training and competency assessment. Following training you will need to be able to work independently or with minimal supervision, prioritise your workload, have the ability to use your own initiative when required but also work as part of a team.
