Position Title: Business Intelligence Analyst Job Type: Contractual - Full Time Job Duration: 7 months Location: Mountain View, CA Tax Terms: W2/C2C Job Overview: Objective is to maximize revenue growth through a better understanding of data insights Responsibilities: Areas of analysis to include pricing elasticity, cross-sell/up-sell, renewals, discounting, customer penetration, SKU utilization Research data sources and understand the strengths and weaknesses of data fields and sources Cleanse dirty data into useable data, and document and understand data element definitions Table data in a SQL database and optimize data for reporting and analytics Maintain data refresh cycles Produce short-term standard reporting Create a network of data experts to assist with data questions and/or issues Gain knowledge of how data flows (ERP to reporting transformations) 2-4 years of professional work experience Assist business units with their data and reporting needs Primary Skills: Requires excellent follow-up and communication skills Preferred understanding of SQL and data relationships A minimum of two to four years of work experience pulling large quantities of data Requires experience in managing, extracting and cleansing very high volumes of transactional data Preferred Bachelor*s in Business, Computer Science or related field Requires excellent cross functional experience and strong interpersonal skills Results and detail oriented with the ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong mathematical/analytical background, ability to understand complex data and resolve difficult problems Requires knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Preferred knowledge and experience in T-SQL, PL/SQL , Access, Business Objects, SAS, etc. Preferred Skills/Technologies: Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint Required (examples include: Pivot tables, Lookup/VLookup, IF/SUMIF, STDEV, absolute reference, cell concatenation, charting, conditional formatting, Macros) Microsoft SQL Server 2008, T-SQL, PL-SQL , UDF/VBA , SAS, Business Objects Web Intelligence Reporting Preferred Education Background: Preferred Bachelor*s in Business, Computer Science or related field
