Marketing Assistant - Part Time 22.5hrs
Main responsibilities 1.Manage the research student recruitment process for specific academic supervisory staff, including liaison with the academic supervisors, research post copy writing, placing of adverts direct mail and e-shots.15% 2.Provide cover for the Senior Marketing Assistant in the production of student recruitment related statistical reports and dissemination to key stakeholders within the School as required.5% 3.Manage and co-ordinate the organisation of School events, co-ordinate School involvement in pan-University events and provide support, where appropriate, to staff within the School involved in organising/attending events.15% 4.Management of the on-line promotional marketing activity, for a specific range of MSc courses, research opportunities and short courses, on appropriate external websites throughout the year. 20% 5.Provide support to the School�s Marketing team on marketing related projects, including direct mailings, e-shots, webpages and virtual open days, as required. Also to provide marketing support in relation to pan-University marketing projects as required.20% 6.Manage the purchase order process for the team, and subsequent logging of details on the budget report.5% 7.Deal with ad hoc enquiries that come into the Marketing team.10% 8.Assist in the development of Marketing databases.5% 9.Provide general administrative support to the Marketing Manager, including meeting organisation, presentation preparation, information gathering, minute taking and any other related tasks as required.5% Education/ qualifications Educated to A� level standard or equivalent Degree and/or CIM qualifications Experience Marketing experience Experience of working in a busy office environment Experience of dealing with people over the telephone Experience of compiling and analysing statistical reports Knowledge Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, email and internet Minimum of 6 months experience in database management Skills/aptitudes Good keyboard skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven organisational skills Proven time management and prioritisation skills Numeracy and literacy skills Touch typist Personal qualities Ability to use initiative and work individually and as part of a team Ability to work under pressure Methodical and adaptable Approachable Self-motivated
