Media Relations Executive –(UK, Netherlands & Belgium) 12 month contract - £23,000 pa An exciting opportunity has arisen within this dynamic international media monitoring organisation which offers great career opportunities and benefits. Initially a 12 month contract to work on a specific project – possibility of extension dependent on the progress of the project. You will be part of a close and strong international team who enjoy being part of this successful organisation. The main purpose of this role is to act as an interface between the company and its non-paying customers, i.e. the media. To maintain, enhance and promote their general media & trade circuits, with particular focus on European media, ensuring that quality standards of service are achieved. Where resources allow, to increase presence on target websites in collaboration with other team members. Main areas of responsibility will be:- Maintaining, enhancing and promoting the company’s European general media & trade media circuits Monitoring and responding to feedback or queries from journalists Maintaining and updating the IDD (International Distribution Database) Building and maintaining of relationships with the media, ensuring best possible end-user experience and satisfaction Collecting feedback from the media for product development You will therefore have the following skills and experience:- Fluent in Dutch & English (French would be an added plus but not essential) Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision Attention to detail and high level of personal organisation Good telephone manner and ability to communicate confidently with journalists Previous experience in a customer service role (over the phone) Ability to prioritise and work under pressure Knowledge of media working practices and media requirements Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, email and Internet In return you will enjoy working within this successful international organisation that offers excellent career opportunities.
