We are Smart Dynamic Workforce Solutions and we are currently looking for a Senior C++ Application Developer with Product Leadership skills to partner with us to help our scientific manufacturing clients.   ABOUT THE PROJECT: Our client is one of North America’s leading scientific testing and measurement equipment and software manufacturers, with offices around the globe.   In their North Toronto research and development location, they are constantly embarking on innovative new products and technologies to ensure they remain perhaps the best solution provider in the global marketplace.   As such, our client is releasing a new (initially fairly small) software module that will facilitate support teams, and interact with equipment in the field – and with it’s release, has the potential to become one of the keystone offerings and differentiators within their product lineup.   The project requires a Senior C++ Application Developer with Product Leadership skills, to ensure that delivery of the application can achieve the milestones that have been set, and enhance the existing team with their expertise.   In this role, you will be working closely with a small team of engineers and software developers to take this project from a technical standpoint – and make it your own.    Reporting to the Program Lead/Division Manager for this project, you will be required to revisit the project milestones, review the existing and ongoing code development, produce verification models, and manage the results of both the existing development team (mentoring junior members), and ensuring the code is solid from their quality assurance models.   In addition to the Product Development lead skills, you will be expected to perform hands on application development for approximately 60% of the normal work effort, as needed and as your skills and experience merit.  One of the key focuses required would be the ability to work on UI concepts and implementation.    The application has a device slant, and previous experience working with software that interacts with standalone hardware devices, or diagnostic-monitoring devices would be an exceptional asset.   ABOUT THE REQUIRED SKILLS: 10+ years of C++ Development Skills. 5+ years of experience working with COM. Strong experience with HTML, Ajax, Flash or Silverlight UI development and design. Software verification scripts development and execution. Excellent software documentation skills Previous experience working in an Agile environment is an asset. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.   ABOUT THE ROLE:   This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the strong possibility of extension to be carried out at our client’s location in Concord, ON.
