One of our clients in New York, NY is looking for a Sr. Systems Analyst for contract to hire position. JOB DESCRIPTION General Responsibilities: Responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining and administrating storage systems; Proactively monitoring storage availabilities and I/O performance; Troubleshooting storage problems, identifying root causes and providing solutions; Involving in storage planning and design, product upgrade and evaluation; Presenting performance reports, metrics and recommendations to management for IT strategy; Providing technical guidance and training to junior administrators, and performing other storage tasks when needed Basic Requirements: Have strong knowledge and skills on modern storage technologies (SAN, RAID, NAS, Fibre channels, Storage Mirroring, Clustered systems, Zoning/VSAN, LUN Management, etc.) Install, configure and allocate physical storage Install and configure IBM servers (IBM Chassis, blades, HBAs, cabling and Stand-alone Servers) Monitor availabilities for storage and servers on the 24/7 basis Copy, move and migrate data and verify its integrity Use IBM TPC tool to generate reports, metrics and statistics on storage for management Work with other groups in planning, design, implementation of new technologies Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Have good communication and documentation skills Able to work independently, lead and work well in a team and train other team members Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple projects simultaneously Able to work at nights/weekends when needed, and after hours support is required Preferred Experience: Experience in IBM or EMC storage technologies (SVC, VPLEX, V7000, VNX, VMAX, XIV, DS5300, etc.) Knowledge of Fibre Channel Fabric (Cisco MDS switches, 9513, 9148, 9222i, etc.) Experience or Knowledge in High Availability and Cloud Computing Systems Only considering candidates who are able to work in USA for any employer.
