Citrix Engineer Washington, DC JOB DETAILS: Title: Citrix Engineer / Administrator Location: Washington, DC Type: 02 Months Contract Job Description: The Client is looking for an experienced IT Consultant working knowledge of the Citrix platform to perform all types of installation, configuration, and support when required and as applicable to the ongoing operation. The work to be performed shall include creation of pilot Citrix Virtual Desktop environment designed to support fifty concurrent users. Provide on-site instruction to agency personnel in the area of Citrix installation, ongoing management and maintenance. Additional items in the deliverable stages will include specific recommendations that can be implemented to increase the physical organization and functionality of the agency's desktop virtualization platform. Client is responsible for providing all appropriate hardware and software pertaining to the Citrix application. Client will only support systems and/or solutions currently supported by the primary vendors. For example, Microsoft NT4.0, MS Windows 2000 based servers, Metaframe XP and Presentation Servers 3.0 are no longer supported by their vendors. Client will provide vendor with Administrator Level User IDs and passwords for covered hardware, software, and technical environment network. Client will be responsible for researching and conforming to all licensing requirements. Major Duties- Onsite Citrix Implementation, Support, and Training: Consultant shall provide Citrix implementation, support, and training to the client during normal business hours (defined as 8:00am- 5:00pm EST), or as authorized by the Contracting Officer in writing. The consultant shall be on-site at the IT Enterprise Security Division of the client for forty (40) hours per week in five (5) eight (8) hour days. Any changes to the SOW shall be approved by Contracting Officer in writing. Implementation, Support, and Training is indicated in the tasked below: Roles & Responsibilities: Core Infrastructure (VMware) Setup and configure One {1) Citrix Desktop Delivery controller on virtual machine (Windows 2008 R2- 2Procs x 4GB Ram) Define XenDesktop SQL DB {SQL server to be provided by IBB) Setup and configure two (2) Citrix XenApp 6.5 servers (Windows 2K8 R2- 2Procs 4GB Ram) Define XenApp SQL DB (SQL server to be provided by IBB) Build and install one (1) Citrix licensing server/Web Interface server on virtual machine {Windows 2008 R2 -lProc x 1GB Ram) Apply Citrix Licenses to license server Configure Web Interface Sites appropriately Create Windows 7 template Apply industry best practices Active Directory Active Directory Configuration Provide and assist with AD OU requirements for XenApp/XenDesktop Configure and setup appropriate GPO's for Citrix users Review and adjust profile environment to integrate with new XenApp/XenDesktop deployment NetScaler VPX Setup and configure appropriate networking configurations on NetScaler VPX appliance Install and configure SSL certificate Setup and configure Citrix Access Gateway proxy (mobile device support) Test and validate all external functionality via NetScaler VPX and new Citrix infrastructure XenDesktop 5.5 Configure Catalogs and appropriate Desktop Groups Configure farm settings,policies, and management options Verify and test functionality and performance Create base Windows 7 image template with appropriate applications and settings Integrate appropriate XenApp Agents Assist and install local based applications (Dalet and other core applications) Define, assign and deploy 5 virtual desktop machines Test and validate functionality Provide knowledge transfer of new XenDesktop 5.5 farm XenApp 6.5 Assist and support with application installations and publishing on new XenApp 6.5 farm Apply indistry best practices to servers and farm settings Configure appropriate Citrix policies for farm Test and validate all new farm settings and application delivery via XenApp 6.5 Provide knowledge transfer of new XenApp 6.5 farm User Device Verify full functionality and access of all devices via Citrix virtual desktop solution Assist and provide knowledge transfer of implementation for support and management moving forward Security The virtualized deployment will be delivered based upon FDCC, USGCB, and FISMA guidelines that fit Client’s IT compliancy requirements Please respond to me directly if you are available and interested.
