6-month+ contract for a Lead Systems Engineer. The Systems Engineer must have a strong skill set in Backup & Replication using Symantec Backup Exec 2010, Citrix XenAPP, SAN and VMWare technologies and strong experience with Windows 2003 / 2008 and SQL 2000 / 2003 / 2008. The Lead Systems Engineer will: Support an isolated network consisting of several VMWare ESX 5.0 hosts running 30+ virtual machines running Active Directory, Citrix, Exchange 2007, and several other apps. Build out the infrastructure to support remote customers and support the virtual machines inside the environment. Build out the environment to replace the back-ups, from LTO-3 tapes to a SAN (disk-to-disk) solution, including replication to a cold site, using Symantec backup Exec 2010. REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lead other members of the team. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems, Symantec Backup Exec 2010, Microsoft Exchange, Cluster technologies, SAN Celerra and CLARiiON environments, IBM Storewize, XIV SAN VMWare ESX 5.0 and MS SQL Server 2005 / 2008. Working knowledge of networking technologies. Certification in network operating systems; Certification as an MCSE.
