Book Cover artwork: Yoga - Cover Design Illustration Graphic Design
Book on yoga philosophy and meditation titled by Indian teacher. (I am the editor.) We are non-profit organization supporting a school in India promoting ancient Indian Arts and Sciences. Looking for original artwork to align with the following idea: 1.) Graphic style somewhat reminiscent of 1920's Russian structuralism poster art (futurism?) 2.) Image of a non-specific gender person walking towards us down a road/path in the foreground. 3.) Image is split down the middle (bifurcated): Right side depicts an individual in the modern/contemporary world walking down a street with iconic buildings, skyscrapers in background, perhaps angular shapes of planes, trains, and automobiles - white/black and shades of grey. A world devoid of the natural elements and filled with the presence and influence of man made materials. The person, while somewhat angular, abstract would indicate tailored clothing, perhaps a suit, etc... 4.) Left-side of the bifurcated image shows a person living in the ancient world following the "ideal" yogic life-style. Person would be dressed more simply - cloth or dhoti, sari. The landscape pastoral with simple home in background, perhaps a cow or birds indicated in a water source. A sunrise should be indicated. Colors would be muted, warm pastels of orange, yellows, greens and reds. 5.) Split down the middle would be like a diminishing line of renaissance perspective. Foreground, bottom frame is a concrete paved road to the right; meandering natural "path" veering to the left. 6.) Title of book on the top of cover. 7.) Subtitle, volume, and author's name on bottom of cover * The primary idea to convey here is that this book is about developing a yogic lifestyle in the modern world - bridging these two worlds rather than rejecting one for the other.
