Our client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to develop and maintain the company's processes and network infrastructure. This job focuses on working with a team to manage and design the network infrastructure that is being developed. Assist in the design of the network and security infrastructure. Responsibilities: Manage existing and assist in the planning / design of the global network infrastructure Assist in monitoring network equipment and performance Stay up to date on industry best practices and assist / lead the team in ensuring best practices are followed Develop plans to implement a strategy for server, network, and mobile device security Identify products and technologies for implementation Work with vendors to evaluate and purchase security related products Manage software, equipment and on-going vendor relationships related to security systems Provide day to day management and support of firewall, intrusion detection/prevention, distributed Internet connections, inter-location network traffic, DMZ networks, and 3rd party network connected services Provide advisory support to technology groups and business departments on processes, procedures, and technologies not directly maintained by the Security Engineer such as password re-set processes, remote access systems, laptop encryption, and 3rd party system integration Monitor network / security logs and system reports for suspect traffic and patterns Review industry alerts and trends to provide organization sufficient direction and warnings Provide weekly reports of all security related activities and service level metrics Execute quarterly assessments of security systems and processes Propose process improvements ensuring that security processes are compatible with business needs and processes The successful Senior Network Engineer applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Must have extensive experience (15+ years) configuring Cisco network switches, routers, servers and firewalls Must have at least five years of experience supporting enterprise security systems Extensive experience developing security processes for complex enterprise environment Must have excellent written and oral communication skills Advanced network or security related certification a plus Knowledgeable in a variety of remote support tools Must be well organized and structured Must be a team player Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Science, Business or other related field Experience with multi-vendor managed equipment Solid understanding of encryption technologies Experience writing policies and gaining approval within enterprise environments
