Modis is currently seeking a Process-oriented QA Lead for an exciting 1 year consulting opportunity with our large financial client in the downtown Chicago area! While this position starts as a contract, there is a high likelihood of Full time conversion down the line. This role will be leading a group of 8-10 onshore QA Testers in ensuring the end to end testing delivery for several very large-scale credit card applications. Our client works within a process-driven environment, and they are looking for an individual who can successfully lead QA testing efforts as well as improve the QA standards and processes for a better return on investment. Daily responsibilities: - Creating, defining and managing the testing strategies to ensure work is completed on-time and on-budget - Planning for and managing all application testing efforts, specifically geared towards team and individual testing assignments, test plans, test execution, regression testing, functional testing, automated testing, UAT Testing and documentation/reporting - Working heavily with business processes and making recommendations/suggestions on how to automate processes where applicable, as well as how to improve existing processes. - Working with Six Sigma and CMM Methodologies to stay in line with Corporate standards REQUIRED SKILLS - Minimum Bachelors degree with 7+ years IT experience in an IT related field - 2+ years experience in a Lead role - Software QA Skills (Manual & Automated) - Very strong process skills (Six Sigma, CMM) - Expert communication and leadership abilities ADDITIONAL INFORMATION & HOW TO APPLY All qualified individuals are invited to apply for immediate consideration!
