Position Description: This position includes all major EHS activities in order to be applicable to individuals with a variety of EHS responsibilities. Duties and Responsibilities: The EHS Assistant: Identifies, analyzes and makes recommendations for EHS programs, activities and projects leading to innovative applications and extensions of existing or new programs/systems having major importance to the business within the assigned area of responsibility. May: Identify training needs and develop training packages. Complete routine and non-routine internal or external EHS Compliance/Conformance reports and associated Data Analysis, and/or coordinate the involvement of Jr. technical individual(s) in tasks to support such reports. Work with teams to address minor and serious EHS incidents. Perform EHS audits and/or self-assessments. Provide EHS input to Life Cycle Management/New Product Introduction processes. Work on Environmental Management System (EMS) and/or Global Safety & Health Plan (GSHP) Program Development and Performance Improvement at a Corporate level and/or within assigned facility(ies). Actively apply Engineering/Scientific knowledge to EHS regulatory interpretation within and outside assigned organization. Influence facility processes to address EHS considerations.
