1st and 2nd Line Support Analyst with MS NT and Windows Experience - Financial - Surrey
Microsoft NT and MS Windows Support Analyst - Surrey Our client, an International financial organization based in Surrey is currently to recruit a 24/7 Support Analyst . The company is building a new 24/7 operations team; for this they will need a 24/7 Support Analyst who has experience of systems and server operations. This role is to plan, perform and manage day to day monitoring and maintenance tasks. The Support Analyst will be expected to work other members and provide technical guidance as well as perform shift duties. The ideal IT 24/7 Support Analyst will have a relevant IT qualification with experience in a medium sized insurance company this is not a must but nice to have. To be considered for this exceptional position you must have experience of the following: Experience in SQL technologies Experience in Windows technologies preferably Win 2003 server and above The Client is very keen for candidates to have a strong NT and MS Windows which you should be able to demonstrate. Related experience, or holding a relevant IT qualification/certification Experience in Tivoli Storage Manager V5.5 and above, ideally within a Data Centre - Patching, Racking (desirable but not essential) Experience in Systems Management Software and Back-Up technologies Experience in DB2 technologies (desirable but not essential) but must have experience in SQL technologies Experience in Windows technologies preferably Win 2003 server and above coupled with Linux technologies Experience in PC server support and PC operating systems Windows XP and above Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of technical and non-technical people. Ability to manage conflicting priorities in an effective and professional manner Direct work experiences in an IT operational role, supporting end-user communities and mission critical systems Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies across a wide variety of disciplines, including virtualisation and Internet services Experience in performing trend analysis and planning remedial action Proactive delivery focused, to achieve a first class service to the organisation Keeps up to date with technology advancements, with demonstrated appreciation and comprehension of the corresponding benefits, risks and implications In Summary the following are the main skills we require for this contract role: Windows Server 2000/2003 Windows: 2000, XPNT server/Workstation MSOffice: 2000, XP Active Directory Exchange Administration Outlook Internet Explorer Arcserve Legato Networker Backup Exec Anti-virus software TCP/IP, and IPX, WINS, DNS, DHCP Lotus Domino 6.5.4 Server, client and administration Network Appliance Storage Systems Remote support tools: SMS, PC Anywhere and Compaq Remote Insight Boards Excellent SAN and NAS along with virtualisation The following would be nice to have: Experience in Tivoli Storage Manager V5.5 and above Experience in Systems Management Software and Back-Up technologies Experience in Linux technologies This is a 6 month contract.
