We're looking for a developer with previous experience working with the Switchvox phone system API and Event Notifications. We need to build a script that will accept event trigger requests from Switchvox and record them in an SQL Server database. It will need to accept multiple HTTP requests and create events based on them. For instance, Switchvox will send a request when a call begins, when it gets transferred, and when it's complete. The script would have to take this sequence of events and create a Call record out of it, showing total Call time, and total Talk time. (call time is the time from the first event, to the last event, for a specific call; the Talk time, is the time when an extension picks up the call, until the time the call ends) In addition to recording calls, we also need to record other events in a usable fashion. The event triggers are documented at: http://developers.digium.com/switchvox/wiki/index.php/UrlManagerAPI_events As documented on that page, and hopefully as you are already familiar with Switchvox Event Notifications, there are additional events that also need to be collected, such as which extensions a call hits before it is answered and so on. All of this data needs to be stored in an SQL Server Database so that we can then query it later to review call statistics. We'll have you use the source caller id and destination, to determine whether it's an internal call between employee extensions, or outside phone numbers based on it being a 10-digit phone number. With this information, you can have a column that says whether it was an internal employee-to-employee call, or an employee-to-external, or external-to-employee. Please only apply for this job if you have experience working with call logging as described here and in the Switchvox documentation, and are able to construct a database design to hold the described information. This should be implemented either with a PHP script or ASP.net C# script.
