Windows 7 Deployment Technicians (Temporary)
On this project, you will get the opportunity to participate in a full Windows 7 deployment and work with a team of talented technicians who are doing the same. This is a full-time, temporary position which does not include benefits. However, there may be potential for benefits in the future if follow-on work is awarded. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities: Selected candidates will get the opportunity to provide hands-on on-site support for a full deployment of the Windows 7 Operating System across the IRS customer's enterprise. Working collaboratively with partner technicians and our customers, successful candidates will work well as a team with partners and customers. Work will primarily be local in Washington, DC or New Carrollton. However, some travel to Martinsburg, West Virginia may be required. Minimum Requirements: 3+ years' experience in developing and deploying unattended operating system installations (Windows 7) for workstations/laptops with an in-depth understanding of hardware-independent imaging capabilities. In depth experience with remote & offline migration. Experience in creating desktop/laptop build and reimaging processes. Extensive knowledge of XP, Windows 7 OS, registry, file system and win internals. Proven ability to work effectively in teams, follow detailed instructions, as well as work independently with minimal error and guidance. Reliable transportation and day travel between the following locations may be needed: New Carrollton, MD; Washington, DC; and Martinsburg, WVA. US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is required along with an active MBI from within one of the Department of Treasury Bureaus (The Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau OR Bureau of Engraving & Printing OR Bureau of The Public Debt OR Community Development Financial Institutions Fund or Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) OR Financial Management Service OR Internal Revenue Service OR Office of The Comptroller of The Currency OR Office of Thrift Supervision OR U.S. Mint). The MBI is required to start due to the project timing and how there isn't time to process new investigations.
