POSITION OPEN AS OF JUNE 25. Expanding financial services corporation located near LAX is looking for a Project Manager to assist with their growth. This is a long term contract position. The Project Manager will develop, clarify and manage the scope of projects to achieve planned outcomes and expected return on investment. The PM will work collaboratively across the organization and manage large or multiple smaller projects. The Project Manager will assist with the deployment of vendor systems that include custom development and interfacing with 3rd parties. The PM will develop and update task level project plans; identify, secure and direct internal/external resources as necessary to complete project tasks. The Project Manager will develop project budgets, include resource forecasting and will be responsible for ongoing budget management and reporting. Will be responsible for completed cost benefit analysis as necessary. The Project Manager will manage all project activity through full project life cycle; ensure on time delivery within budgetary guidelines. Will communicate project status, perform issues management, research alternative approaches, assess project risks and proactively determine appropriate risk mitigation strategies. The Project Manager will effectively facilitate working team and steering committee meetings; escalate issues and potential solutions in a timely manner. Will ensure all project deliverables and artifacts are completed clearly, concisely, and on time; including completing deliverables as necessary. Will follow and contribute to the continued enhancement of the company project delivery methodology. JOB REQUIREMENTS:  Banking, Financial Services, Investment Management or Broker Dealer industry experience is required. Candidates coming from a healthcare or manufacturing background will not be considered.  Need to be well versed in developing and maintaining project plans, risk/issues logs, status reports. Able to use their experience but also utilize required tools of the company so we have consistency across projects.  Minimum Bachelor’s Degree required, Computer Science or equivalent preferred. PMP certification is a plus.  Minimum of 4 -6 years business experience required, including at least 3 years of proven project management expertise.  Thorough understanding of multiple project management methodologies required.  Attention to detail and ability to work independently required.  Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary; ability to appropriately tailor communications to various audiences required.  Knowledge and experience with the following applications required: Microsoft Office suite, including MS Project, SharePoint and Visio required.  Ability to work effectively across reporting lines required; experience in a matrix environment desired.  Business analyst experience strongly preferred.
