Position Overview:This position is located in the Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) Workplace Services organization, Facilities Asset Management section. Facilities Asset Management (FAM) is responsible for establishing asset management strategies and developing a multi-year integrated plans relating to facilities expansion, upgrades and additions, replacement, and maintenance for BPA?s Non-electric (NEF) facilities portfolio of assets. This organization tracks and manages program plans and asset performance; monitors plan execution and asset capabilities; evaluates and designs methods for prioritizing asset-related spending; and evaluates risks to ensure assets are managed in a manner consistent with BPA priorities, Asset Management policy and regulatory compliance. The NEF assets include approximately 3.2 million square feet of NEF facilities across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and California. In addition to FAM the Facilities Operation section of workplace services ensure that the service, operation and maintenance standards for management of NEF facilities are safely, reliably and responsively implemented. This includes the performance of planned and unplanned maintenance and the design, procurement, and construction of routine differed maintenance projects.The purpose of this position is to plan, schedule, and coordinate a broad spectrum of preventive, routine, repair and emergency maintenance activities at the Agency?s facilities.Position Responsibilities include but not limited to:?In coordination with Program and Project managers and maintenance technicians, plans and schedules maintenance work based on demand, workload, skill sets, and available parts; inspects work locations; uses the computer, systems, and other resources to develop plans. ?Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair / preventive / predictive / design-out activities on the organization?s plant and equipment?Develop cost and time estimates of planned maintenance work?Coordinate the availability of all necessary parts, equipment, services and documentation to perform the maintenance work?Write applicable maintenance procedures that promote defect-free maintenance work quality?Up-keep and accuracy of equipment maintenance history and job records data?Responsible for up-keep and accuracy of technical information on processes, plant and equipment?Convert the organization?s asset management and maintenance strategy into workplace activities ?Apply good stores management practices and parts management to ensure parts and equipment retain full reliability while stored, develops an inventory/stores plan for maintenance parts, supplies, materials and recommended inventory levels.?Schedule maintenance work into system production plans, coordinate activities between system operations and maintenance and with other District staff, contractor, vendors, and other entities as required. ?Stays abreast of the activities of engineering projects and uses this information in planning and scheduling work.?Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability, maintenance department performance and planning and scheduling business flow process ?Establish, maintain and improve the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling business process and work flow process?Continually improving planning, scheduling, purchasing, stores, data management and job reporting systems to increase planning effectiveness and efficiency ?Collaborate with maintenance supervision to schedule manpower and resources for the most effective production and maintenance outcomes?Works with Asset Management Enablement Specialist to develop and recommend changes to asset systems preventive and corrective maintenance and lubrication programs.?Assists in identifying and recommending training needs, equipment, specifications, and standards to help maintain consistent We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
