Solstice Consulting (www.solstice-consulting.com) is seeking a highly motivated and certified SCRUM Master for a contract to hire or full time position downtown Chicago. Must be a CSM and have a strong working knowledge of Scrum/Agile. We are looking for a certified Scrum Master that can lead 1-2 Sprints concurrently. Duties include serving as Scrum Master for team of 6-8 people. Facilitate Sprint planning meetings, daily standups, feedback sessions, backlog grooming, sprint retrospectives, effort estimation & tasking sessions. Coach team members in the effective use of Scrum/Agile principles & practices. Maintain/enforce current Agile practices in the team. Serve as member of program leadership team. Coordinate with business project manager & program manager on strategic & schedule planning & milestones in an SDLC project management framework. Create/manage SDLC deliverables. Responsibilities will include: Creating and managing project and program plans inclusive of project resource coordination. Working with technologists and technology management on scoping and estimating, resource allocation analysis, risk analysis, etc. Driving cross-functional team deliverables and schedules. Fostering a culture of accountability. Facilitating core team discussions, and cross-functional design and status meetings. Ensuring that stakeholders are kept fully-informed of project status and progress. Collaborating closely with technologists and senior managers during the complete product development lifecycle. Managing open issues and working cross-functionally to determine remedies as necessary. BS in computer science or equivalent experience. Required Skills· Five years of software project management experience on progressively responsible and complex software development projects required. This includes experience in managing all aspects of project lifecycle from concept through post-launch support. · Proven track record of leading teams to successfully deliver on multiple projects of varying size and complexity simultaneously.· Attention to detail is a must.· Must be able to proactively see project obstacles and work actively to remove them. · No third party resumes
