TECHNICAL WRITER This is a full-time, temporary (12 months or less) position. Principal Duties: Under the supervision of a task lead, organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology. May involve any combination of the following: 1. Confer with customer representatives, co-workers, or vendors to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication. 2. Select photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to illustrate material. 3. Edit, standardize, or make changes to material prepared by others. 4. Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, or content. 5. Maintain records and files of work and revisions. 6. Interview production and engineering personnel and read journals or other material to become familiar with product technologies and production methods. 7. Study drawings, specifications, mockups, or product samples to develop maintenance or training materials (COTS manuals, User manuals, Training packages, etc.). 8. Observe engineering and/or production activities to determine operating procedures and detail. Education: Associates Degree or equivalent experience, Bachelor’s degree preferred Experience Required: Three to five years experience writing technical documents. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Framemaker or Illustrator Security Clearance Required/Level: - None, ability to be able to obtain a clearance desired MECHANICAL ENGINEER This is a full-time, entry-level position. temporary (12 months or less). Principal Duties: Under the supervision of a senior engineer, perform technical tasks to develop, document, and produce new products. May involve any combination of the following: 1. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. 2. Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. 3. Research and analyze designs, specifications, and manuals to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. 4. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. 5. Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products applying knowledge of engineering principles. 6. Assist drafters in developing mechanical designs using computer-assisted design/drafting software. 7. Conduct tests and analyses to evaluate feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, or systems. 8. Coordinate the maintenance and safety procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering Experience Required: Proficiency with Solidworks, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Experience Desired: Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Security Clearance Required/Level: - None, ability to be able to obtain a clearance desired
