This position is responsible for supporting the Tools team as a whole, and the Clarity Product Manager by providing solutions strategies, designs, and architectures. The Solution Architect is responsible for best practices solutions that result in the ability for organization to deliver on strategic and tactical objectives that are repeatable across the various lines of business within Ericsson organization. This position is challenged with taking the Tools and broader Ericsson business strategy and creating a solution based design based on a determined product as well as best practices for deployment methodologies. Responsible to be a thought leader, mentor Tools team members, collaborate tightly with program and project management to ensure successful outcomes on projects involving the use and growth of preferred tools within Ericsson. Key Responsibilities * Lead and/or support Tools solutions. * Consult and provide technical coordination in the development of Tools solution offerings. * Lead and/or support trouble-shooting and implementation initiatives as required to achieve product and organizational objectives. * Design, develop, and validate solution prototypes in lab environment. Review and certify the accuracy, completeness and viability of solution designs and implementations. * Collect, evaluate and disseminate experience to enhance intellectual capital. * Provide mentoring and support for internal and external personnel to develop technical skills through shared experiences and guidance. Has the responsibility to oversee, mentor, and guide both internal and external personnel to accomplish objectives. * Adhere to companies Policies of Code of Conduct/Ethics, Security and any required training. Integrates research and emerging technologies into company product platforms and programs. May lead small to large projects or initiatives that have major impact on company business results. Champions significant projects, programs, and business initiatives using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity. Operates with considerable latitude for unsupervised actions or decisions. Business Travel and Physical Demands Business travel of approximately 25 percent yearly is expected for this position. Physical demands: * Office environment. No special physical demands required. Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience. Work Experience Typically 10 years as an IT practitioner or equivalent education, with at least 7 years in the design and implementation of large-scale, multi-tiered, heterogeneous IT infrastructures. There should be at least 2 years of enterprise architecture experience. In addition, typically has 5 or more years experience in Business Consultancy, Services and/or End User roles in the Information Technology industry presenting to senior level executives. Skills & Competencies * 3 to 5 years of functional and technical experience with specified product (CA Clarity, SH, etc.) * Expert level knowledge must be in specified product, though knowledge in competitive technologies would be preferred. * Ability to provide leadership to technical, support, and business personnel. * Outstanding analytical, presentation and documentation skills. * Ability to multi-task (e.g., handle multiple projects and tasks at once) and have understanding of solution implementation cycle. * Candidates should have Enterprise Architecture Strategy expertise as they will assist customers (all levels) in establishing software change management processes and provide IT architecture recommendations that could encompass products and solutions from all lines of business.
