We need a candidate with strong teamwork / collaboration skills to respond to and monitor the assigned ticket queue, and respond accordingly. A lot of network and computer (IT) troubleshooting, data mining and preparing data for reports is expected, and some PowerPoint presentation preparation as well. This candidate will be installing new products and operating systems on new machines and assisting users with getting familiar with self-hosted products. REQUIREMENTS: Associate's degree in computer science or a related engineering field (Bachelor's degree preferred) 5+ years of experience providing support for a LAN / WAN environment, or equivalent combination of experience and training CCNA, CCNP certificate in a relevant sub-discipline Considerable knowledge of local area networking, wide area networking, and other computer related technologies Knowledge of transport and framing protocols Knowledge of SANs Knowledge of computer installation, maintenance, and software support to perform computer troubleshooting Knowledge of new developments with regard to networking Ability to organize, set priorities, and work effectively under pressure Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customer and peers Excellent written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal, time management and customer service skills Sound problem resolution and judgment Aptitude for working with various tier two groups PREFERRED (Nice to Have): Microsoft Operations Manager or other enterprise monitoring tool Technical proficiency in relevant operating systems and applications Solid knowledge of Windows Server and/or SQL Server MCSE, MCSD, MCAD, and/or MCDBA This is a 4-5 month contract position with the possibility of extension.
