Job Description Sales Mgr-Cloud Services Herndon, VA As the Sales Manager for Channels Services, Public Sector, you will be expected to develop and grow a region of multiple outsourced engagements for Terremark-Verizon Public Sector sales organization. Additional responsibilities include: * Manage delivery for your accounts and growth the region through new client acquisition through partners. * Establish yourself as a lead executive capable of creating and delivering a visionary partner value proposition for their clients by leading a unified team of sales professionals and diverse internal Centers of Excellence support organizations to build a compelling and highly professional proposal and financial proposition. * Work with Verizon Enterprise Solutions and Verizon Public Sector sales channels to position relevant services to selected clients * Create specific sales and account plans, and highly effective executive presentation geared to closing assigned outsourcing, IT, security, and professional services engagements * Simultaneously manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple outsourcing sales engagements in support of the sales and capture teams from proposal development through contract negotiations * Build internal relationships with Verizon Business leaders and organizations, and develop a strong people network to leverage specific resource assistance needed throughout the sales process * Build strategy/programs targeting several SI (Systems Integrator), ISV (independent software integrator), VAR (value added resellers), and OEM (original equipment manufacturers (OEM) centric strategic partners for Terremark Public Sector. * Required to consistently communicate with Direct Sales Leadership, work with Programs Director for relevant strategy development within the channel segment, and assist with recruiting, training, development and growth of their partners within his/her teams' geographic territory (US). This position will be directly responsible for revenue/demand generation across the key partners for the Terremark Public Sector Channel Segment. * Negotiate and balance the needs of the partners and Terremark's on a regular * Build strategic programs to facilitate repeatable and profitable solutions across the Terremark service stack. * Address areas of channel conflict and areas of partner deficiencies such as lack of properly trained individuals or issues with regard to sales forecasts, etc. Required Skills & Experience * The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years business experience in client facing roles, with at least five of those years spent in outsourcing, systems integration and/or channel sales selling with partners. * This person must be a seasoned business executive with highly effective communication skills, both written and oral. * He/she will be a person who is self-driven and is capable of leading large scale, complex sourcing projects from start to finish. * The candidate will be able to articulate a visionary strategy to senior leaders of our clients, assess client needs and speak to networking solutions that solve business problems * Strong understanding and successful experience in building strategic and/or developmental partnerships at the C-level within mid-size and large corporations. * Consultative selling approach, high energy, strong prospecting, qualifying and closing skills. * Demonstrated consistent quota attainment in selling infrastructure, IT, Cloud, Security services directly or through key partners. * Effective communication, presentation and time management skills. * Develop highly productive reseller and teaming partner relationships so that partners become self-sufficient in marketing and selling our product . * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline. * Must have sales management experience. * This position may require up to 50% business travel and will be located in the U.S. * U.S. Citizen. Desired Skills & Experience With fluency in English, employee must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, financial balance sheets and P&L, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read and understand service orders and work orders. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. * Employee must have strong mathematical skills including but not limited to the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. * Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook applications. Must be able to use sale force.com tools for up to daily use for the entire sales engagement and cycle. * Ability to apply a high level of reasoning and understanding to oversee instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
