A Medical (clinical) Laboratory  near Syracuse, NY is seeking to add a  Temporary to Permanent  MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNICIAN   to it's staff. Completion of a accredited and approved training program.  ASCP certification is required.   * JOB DESCRIPTION: The Medical Laboratory Technicians will work in a clinical  laboratory setting under the guidance and supervision of a Clinical Medical Technologist (CMT). * Possess a working knowledge of clinical laboratory equipment * Help to prepare and analyze slides and specimens of human blood, tissue, or other cells. * Help to identify abnormalities in the samples such as malignancies, bacteria, parasites, or genetic abnormalities. * Assist in blood-typing, or other routine blood tests.   * Posses the knowledge and application of OSHA CLIA rules and regulations. * Maintain a clean and sterile working environment as well as minor maintenance and cleaning of equipment.   * BENEFITS: Health care insurance is provided at employee’s expense when hired on a  temporary basis.
