Job Title: Mapping Services Developer Salary: 40-50/hour Location: Fort Worth, TX Description: Development of Mapping Applications, Web Based Map Services, and SYS/APP Support Administration of the Mapping Services Applications and Environment. Development efforts include the ability to create and maintain mapping services that are intuitive, Visually Appealing, and Properly Tuned to Perform well in the Server Environment and on the Web. Design Experience with Mapping Caches is a plus. Duties include: Install, configure, and maintain ArcIMS and ArcGISServer application instances for the BNSF Mapping Services team. The successful candidate should possess a strong understanding of coordinate systems and various map projections, and should be able to create and maintain various geo-processing tasks via Scripting or programming languages. The Successful Candidate should possess the ability to work with and convert between a variety of Data Sources, including but not limited to, ArcSDE Feature Classes, Shapefiles, .KML/.KMZ files, and .CSV files. Required Technical SME areas: ESRI ArcGISServer Administration ESRI ArcIMS ESRI ArcGISDesktop Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems ESRI ArcSDE Desired Technical SME areas: Python/other Scripting languages WMS/WFS ESRI ArcGISOnline DB2 Spatial Extender Strong cartography skills This is a one year contract with a likely extension in Fort Worth, TX.
