Requirements: BS in Computer Science or equivalent 1-3 years of work experience Software engineering with SQL DB development experience Must be proficient with MS Office (especially MS Excel) and detailed experience with Databases Software development experience with C++/C#/Visual Basic/Visual Studio .NET/Transact SQL/ODBC Must be able to provide accurate documentation of the design and operation of software components. Organization skills, attention to details, self sufficiency, analytical thinking and focus on quality are required. Extensive work volume and schedule is expected during the release period to ensure timely delivery Responsibilities: The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing corporate location data for the purpose of improving Point of Interest database for car navigation system. This engineering position is required to design, develop and test software on the Points-of-Interest database (POI-DB) project utilizing the Visual Studio .net framework. The engineering position will requires to conduct following tasks: import, export and validate various data sources; conduct analysis, comparison and integration of multiple data source versions; generate sets of rules as outcome of analysis for improvement; conduct data verification through web sites and/or phone verifications to ensure rule and data integrity; generate reports and documentations to support the outcome of the improvements.
