Our client, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a Network Video Test Engineer to perform the following duties: * Test and evaluation of a network based ad insertion and content delivery system * Development and execution of test plans based on system requirements * Maintenance of test results documents * U-verse video and Residential Gateway configuration and testing Required skill sets: * Capable of working independently with little oversight * Good written and oral communication skills, including sub-system visual documentation with Visio or equivalent * Ability to read and understand technical requirements, develop test plans with detailed test cases, and validate requirements with formally documented test results * Working knowledge of IP based networking and protocols for video transport, including multicast UDP, RTP, and IGMP * Working familiarity with Unix/Linux operating systems * Some knowledge of scripting for automation purposes: (Ruby/Python/Perl, etc.) * Experience using Wireshark under Linux and Windows, with the ability to use Wireshark to troubleshoot video stream issues * Some knowledge of video transport protocols (MPEG-TS, etc.) * Experience analyzing RTP streams
